Christmas cartoon (2)

I was going to join the Christadelphians
until I realised that they were
dying faster than us

  1. Your usual Christadelphian moronDecember 23, 2016 at 10:11 PM

God killed the three Christadelphians in the vehicle smash because he loves Christadelphians and he was testing us.

See: Hebrews 12:6-8. King James Version (KJV).

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

It is one of the many signs of the times that proves that Christ is about to return. What further evidence do you Ex-Christadelphians need to learn that we are the "Sons" of God and not "bastards" like you Ex-Christadelphians who are part of the global Evolutionist conspiracy to hide the truth of God's creation?

We may be dying like Christmas turkeys and we may have all lost our minds, but as the apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:21 "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."

We may be as "foolish" as turkeys and yes I agree that we hardly know what day of the week it is or which side of the bed to get out of in the morning; but you Ex-CDs must understand that the progressive senility of our community is another sign of the times that the "foolishness" of our preaching is clear evidence of the truth of what we are saying.

Even though Putin is in the North and Donald Trump will wind up in the South in fulfillment of Bible prophecy; even though we Christadelphians are dying like flies and our young people are fleeing from our community ("there shall come scoffers in the last days") you Ex-Christadelphians still won't accept the obvious truth that God is doing everything possible to show to the World that the Christadelphians are the only true religion. (Excluding all of the other Christadelphian fellowships who will be rejected and shamed at the judgement seat of Christ for their deliberate rejection of the Truth.)

    1. Yes, I liked that one too. Apparently it hit a nerve on their Facebook page. Lots and lots of defensive comments which proved a little too much (yes, if you grant that God can work through anyone anywhere and doesn't require attendance on a specific day then it's fine to close on 25th December - but why then are you open and attending every other Sunday?).

There is a letter in the January Christadelphian commenting on the number of closures on December 25.

For us, it was more the few Sundays after Christmas that were difficult to keep open as everyone went on holiday.

    2. Does anyone remember the poem I posted a couple of years ago about the sister who stormed out of the Meeting on Christmas Day? It maybe still around the blog somewhere.

    4. Some Birmingham ecclesias are thinking about going one better and holding their meetings on 'their' number 11 bus, as this is a circular route. The exhortations could then be allowed to be extended for as long as some brethren seem to think they should. The meeting could last for well over two hours, and the content of the exhortation could match the circular nature of the route, as is often the case. This venue is also a good way of saving on hall heating costs. If the bible talk was also held in this way, there would be a constant influx of "strangers" at each bus stop. It will almost certainly happen.
